LLAEBIO visits SoildiverAgro CS6

On 8th September, the Flemish Living Lab Agro-Ecology and Organic Agriculture visited the SoildiverAgro’s case study 6 at ILVO, where the cover crop sown at the end of August is just coming up. Harvest at the Inagro’s organic experimental farm!

The harvest of the red beet for the case study 7 on Inagro’s organic experimental farm in Flanders (Belgium) has started. Finnish stakeholders get to know SoildiverAgro at two different events

SoildiverAgro was introduced to several Finnish stakeholders at Lepaa 2022 Horticultural exhibition which took place from 11 to 13th August. The discussions focused on fibres and catch crops were organized by Kauppapuutarhaliitto. SoildiverAgro partners Petla and LUKE participated with a stand. Also on the 16th, 40 stakeholders participated in a field tour, trial presentations and discussions, organized at Räpi by Petla, Apetit, LUKE, Pyhäjärvi-instituutti säätiö and Tampere University.

Next Field Day at the Atlantic Central Region!

Save the date for the next August 11th at 4PM when a field day will be held in the Atlantic Central region. Field Days at Nemoral Region

On the 15th and 18th of July, the soil functionality was discussed with farmers based on the information gathered by SoildiverAgro Nemoral field experiments. The importance of biota and soil moisture as drivers for proper yield formation was shown to every attendee throughout the open field day. Thank you all for coming!

Oral Communication Prize at CICS 2022

Last 24th of June, Soildiveragro won the prize for Oral Communication (IX Congreso Ibérico de Ciencias del Suelo) with the article titled Study of microbial communities in Lusitanian organic and conventional agricultural soils by phospholipid fatty acid analysis presented by our colleague Diego Soto. Harvesting melon at Cartagena

«Within the framework of the Soildiveragro project, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has begun harvesting the Piel de Sapo melon of the Paredes variety grown at the Tomás Ferro Experimental Farm (La Palma, Cartagena). The project aims to improve the biodiversity of agricultural soils and establish a relationship between biodiversity and agricultural production and quality, as well as the effect on the reduction of fertilizers and phytosanitary products».
