The final workshop of the Atlantic Central Region brought together around 80 regional stakeholders in central Flanders (Belgium) on February 10th to present the results of SoildiverAgro Case Studies 6 and 7. The event was organized by our partners Inagro and EV-ILVO.

The session titled “Fertilization and Soil Fertility in Organic Farming,” aimed to provide practical tools for better managing soil processes. The study day featured presentations and interactive discussions based on the results from the demonstration project “Organic Fertilization Practices for Ensuring Good Water Quality,” as well as Case Studies 6 and 7 of the SoildiverAgro project.

The discussions covered four key fundamentals: the history of the plot, and its chemical, physical, and biological status (i.e., nutrients, soil structure, and soil life). Practical solutions were provided to answer the question: “How can you assess, ensure, and optimize the nutrient-supplying capacity of your soil?”
