Inagro

 

Inagro is a practical research center located in the most important agricultural province of Flanders: West-Flanders (Belgium). It’s an external spin-off agency of the province administration. Inagro has a direct link with many farm businesses, of which a large number serve as pilot farms (conventional as well as organic). Inagro also has its own trial fields (38 ha of which 33% is organic). Research is done in a lot of different sectors including: organic farming, arable farming and greenhouse/open-air horticulture. Besides applied research, Inagro is strong in advisory and communication to farmers.

Jasper Vanbesien

Master of Bioscience Engineering: Agricultural Sciences. Researcher in organic agriculture at Inagro. Participates in WP1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 8 of the SoildiverAgro project. Other projects in which he is involved, are about soil compaction (regional), fertilization (regional) and cultivation techniques of Fabaceae (interregional).
