On April 30th, SoildiverAgro participated in a joint event with AGROSUS at Finca Antela (Deputación de Ourense) in Sandiás, Limia. This collaborative field day, which gather 16 farmers and stakeholders, aimed to share practical results from both projects and bring innovative tools and techniques closer to farmers, supporting the shift toward more sustainable, affordable, and profitable agriculture.

SoildiverAgro showcased the benefits of introducing legumes into crop rotations through a guided tour of experimental plots focused on crop diversity. The team also presented the latest research findings on the use of trap plants to reduce nematode cysts in potato crops which is an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical treatments.

Meanwhile, AGROSUS demonstrated a flexible tine harrow as an alternative method for weed control in wheat, offering a herbicide-free solution to common agricultural challenges.

This joint event highlighted the strong alignment between both projects in promoting agroecological practices and fostering knowledge exchange with local farmers and stakeholders in Galicia.
